Why the Mindbenders?

There was a film released in 1963 with Dirk Bogarde. It was called "The Mindbenders" and it seemed a great name for a band.

Oasis and Manchester

People associate "Oasis" with the band of that name. "Oasis" however, was also a club in Manchester back in the 60s. The Mindbenders were discovered there by Philips.

Wayne Fontana's real name?

He took the name of Elvis' drummer D.J. Fontana. His real name was Glyn Ellis and he used to be a telephone engineer before he started his career in music.
